This makes the car no easier to steal as you'd have to physically break in still. Keyless entry uses a proximity fob. The fob sends out proximity signals all the time.

Jul 12, 2019 · I came to the conclusion that activation of keyless entry is through firmware of the BCM. In my case Mondeo mk5, I looked for a VIN similar to my car but with keyless entry, installed that firmware on the BCM and it worked. You need ofcourse check for the available hardware.

Remove the plastic cover over the radiator. On the right side of the console holding the bonnet latch, the radar plug should be connected to a plastic dummy socket. The radar plug has 5 wires. Jun 15, 2021 · I had a mk3 Mondeo that sometimes refused to lock, it was the solenoid getting stuck. Using the key overrides it and forces it to unlock. I used to spray WD40 with the straw attached, into the lock hole and into all the holes on the end of the door.

May 9, 2009 · Got a used Tit X last week and keyless entry was working fine. I didn't mess about with the key fob but for some reason, the day after driving away from the dealer, keyless entry doesn't work anymore. In case it's relevant, the 2nd (large) key fob needs to be recoded by the dealer and the "working" key fob won't pop the hatch.
